The Yukon Land Use Planning Council has hired Katie Fraser as the Land Use Planner to assist the Senior Land Use Planner and the Dawson Regional Planning Commission.
Katie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a focus in Wildlife Biology from McGill University, and has over 7 years of experience working in the field of natural resource management within Yukon. Most recently, Katie has worked as both an Assessment Officer and Manager for the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) within the Dawson district office, where she gained ample experience conducting and directing environmental and socio-economic assessments within the Dawson region. Katie is from Dawson City, where she continues to reside with her family. Katie is excited for the opportunity to participate in the development of the Dawson Regional Land Use Plan.
